Our ‘In Touch Mission’ is held in a large garage at the back of The Hub, belonging to Lansdowne Baptist Church, and is equipped with trestle tables, chairs etc to seat approximately 60 – 70 of our ‘homeless’ friends, from 12 – 2pm every Wednesday and Saturday.
Any age are welcome from babies to 70+ year olds and their four legged friends. We aim to give God’s love in action as well as feeding the body with stew, sandwiches, cakes, rolls, bread, tea, coffee, squash etc.
We encourage trust and friendship in a ‘safe’ environment. We also provide clean clothing, bedding etc, which is donated and try and help those with so many problems.
There is a very sad side to this work as we loose many (hundreds over the last 18 years) through the demonic power of Alcoholism/drugs etc… Many who are unable to struggle any more with life.
This is a totally voluntary mission, utterly dependant on God’s provision in every area through prayer and people with a heart for those suffering. May He lift them out of the pit of destruction and turn them from their ‘dungeons’ to the eternal light in Christ Jesus, as He did for me!
