‘Sonseekers’ is a group run by volunteers from Lansdowne Baptist Church, for young people who are in school years 6, 7 & 8. We meet during term time on a Friday evening, usually from 7.30pm to 9.00pm and on a Sunday morning from 10.00am at Lansdowne Baptist Church, Lansdowne Road.
The leaders of ‘Sonseekers’ are committed Christians and members of Lansdowne Baptist Church. All the leaders have been checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Record Bureau). The Friday evening club and Sunday morning teaching are part of the Church’s youth work programme.
Sundays
Sunday morning we meet at the church from 10.00 am to 11.20 am. During this time we meet to worship God, read the Bible, learn more about the Christian faith and through this, develop a personal relationship with God.
Fridays
Friday evenings offer a range of exciting and varied activities at the church, with occasional trips out. On Friday evenings we aim to provide a safe place to relax, make new friends and have lots of fun! In addition, we aim to provide a Christian environment where young people can grow in their Christian faith. Therefore, the young people who attend are expected to behave in a friendly and co-operative manner.
Any young person wishing to attend regularly must complete a parental consent form.
